The Planetary Gears Mesh - February 2008
The Planetary Gears Mesh
Pluto is in Capricorn starting January 25th. Planetary influences will change dramatically for the better. Pluto in Capricorn will certainly pose challenges. However, in this post, I will focus on some of the bigger positives.
Specifically, I will concentrate on how Pluto in Capricorn turns a cluster of big, difficult planetary aspects into a set of helpful, sustaining aspects.
For some years, the planetary gears have been grinding. World events have had a nasty edge.
This fall and winter especially, astrological conditions have been difficult. We have experienced a storm of bad synchronicity. World events often seemed to be veering out of control.
Violence and economic trouble spread. Weather has been extreme. Resources were badly strained.
Governments couldn't satisfy the needs of those they govern. Patience, confidence and trust are in very short supply. People have fallen seriously out of love with their leaders.
On the micro-level, events have pushed many into personal crisis. Finances, health and work issues and family and elder care situations, among other things, have gone critical.
The planetary gears will mesh far better from here on in. Events should all now have a much less worrisome feel.
Pluto in Capricorn ends many of the astrological conditions behind all these troubling and disruptive events.
The new aspects will help us all manifest solutions and positive, new potential as we head off in a new direction.
Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn
Pluto is a great driving wheel. It is the engine of history. It pushes thoughts, words, actions and events. Jupiter is the eternal optimist and a generally beneficial influence.
Together in Capricorn, Pluto and Jupiter will restore world optimism. It will also increase confidence. This, in turn, will spur positive action and open the door to economic growth.
Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn in Harmony
Pluto and Jupiter will also be in harmonious relation with Saturn. Saturn takes the long view. It always goes by the book, even if that means doing things the hard way.
Saturn's helpful input will bring substance and permanence—reliability—to projects inspired by head strong Pluto and occasionally unrealistic Jupiter.
Pluto and Jupiter Sextile Uranus
Jupiter and Pluto will be in favorable relation with Uranus, also. Uranus governs change. Hence, world leaders will be better able to guide and control change.
The whole process of global transformation we are all experiencing will go more smoothly, now. Governments will be able to solve problems and develop new potentials more readily.
On the micro level, too, positive synchronicity will be much higher. Crises in our personal lives will tend to be resolved favorably.
Big Change in the Political Winds
At least as important as all of the above, the political winds will change dramatically.
Pluto used to support things that made the rich richer and the poor poorer. It also supported things that made the powerful more powerful and the powerless more powerless.
In its new position, Pluto will spread the wealth and power among the broader population. Making the rich and powerful ever more rich and powerful will no longer be such a popular idea. There will be a widespread switch away from red-state politics to blue-state politics.
No Going Back
This new Pluto energy will be useful only in kick starting a new and more equitable era in which wealth and power is much more widely shared. It will consistently block those who try to turn back the clock.
Expect new, forward-looking policies and programs in every area of life as this new cycle gets under way. I think we will finally see breakthroughs in energy technology, environmental policy and health care, among other things.
