Pluto on My Mind - 500 Words About April 2007
500 Words About April 2007
Pluto on My Mind
April repeats a now familiar pattern. Protective, helping aspects support daily affairs while potent disruptive aspects bring a continuous stream of big, nervous-making global changes. People will feel encouraged about life, but emotionally and physically thin at the same time.
Pluto Messing with World Politics
Pluto will dominate the rest of 2007. Retrograde Pluto (3/30/2007) is on the nadir at the first full moon of spring, near the vertex and trining Sun and moon, emphasizing its pre-eminent importance for the rest of the year. With Pluto retrograde as of 3/30/2007 political, military and economic power plays will grind to a halt. With Saturn turning direct on 4/5/07 legal and legislative initiatives will gain ground. Those who rule though laws will overcome those who use raw power. This spells continuing hard times for the Bush administration.
In July 2007 and again in October 2007, Pluto’s conjunction with the Galactic Center will be exact. Events related to a rapidly shifting global order will continue to ripple across the world. New, visionary ideas will capture the world’s imagination and influence events in a way that we would not have thought possible. With Pluto retrograde for the July conjunction, the establishment will be powerless to block Aquarian Age trends.
Pluto’s final conjunction with the Galactic Center, on 10/28/07, marks the end of the beginning. By the time Pluto makes its last conjunction with the Galactic Center, our feet will be firmly planted in a new era. However, change and disruption will continue as this new era takes hold. Pluto enters Capricorn in January 2008, the sign it occupied in the eighteenth century when the US government took form.
The United States will begin a prolonged identity crisis, a re-thinking of ideas that have guided it for more than 200 years. The American political system will become deeply, strenuously absorbed in domestic political and economic issues as Pluto affects the heavily populated financial axis in the US natal chart.
The US is still a world leader and many other western countries took their modern form when Pluto was last in Capricorn. So the identity crisis in the US will be amplified by events around the world.
As Pluto leaves Sagittarius, the US rising sign, in January 2008, to begin its longish transit of Capricorn, the bottom will drop out of US public support for the war in Iraq, completely.
Jupiter will be retrograde (4/5/07) until August, so the markets will probably be more or less mopey all summer long. There will be a few decidedly worrisome economic months at the end of the year as Saturn makes a broad square to Jupiter, roiling global economic waters. By early 2008, Jupiter and Saturn will resume their trine relationship, continuing their economically supportive vibe, this time in financially important earth signs, Virgo and Capricorn.
Gender-specific asteroid bodies at the nadir and midheaven at April’s new moon point to a quantum shift in the global evolution of gender identities and roles.
